Description

Durchbruch der Donau durch den Oberjura auf eine Länge von rund 5 Km. Das Gebiet wurde schon unter Ludwig I von Bayern als Naturdenkmal ausgewiesen. Heute ist es das 'Naturschutzgebiet Weltenburger Enge' und wurde mit dem Europa Diplom ausgezeichnet. Es ist ein ausgezeichnetes Gebiet für ausgedehnte Naturwanderungen. Für den Wanderweg von Kelheim zum Kloster Weltenburg entlang der Donau benötigt man etwa 1,5 Stunde. Nach einer Brotzeit im Klosterbiergarten kann man dann mit dem Schiff zurück nach Kelheim fahren. Diese Aufnahme wurde mit einer Nikon F5 gemacht.
