Description
English: Subprefect of Confolens Jean-Amédée Gontier wife's gravestone, made in 1894, cimetery of Confolens, Charente, France. His young wife Cécile-Jeanne-Marie Crévelier died when she was 21 years old in 1884. This funeral monument was made with the stones of the dolmen of Périssac, that have been moved here. It is 3.2 m high.
Français : Tombeau de la femme du sous-préfet, 1894, cimetière de Confolens, Charente, France. Il s'agit de Jean-Amédée Gontier, sous-préfet de Confolens, dont la jeune épouse Cécile-Jeanne-Marie Crévelier est morte à l'âge de 21 ans en 1884. Le monument funéraire, dont la base est constituée par les pierres transportées du dolmen de Périssac, a une hauteur de 3,20 m.
