English: Dressed doll - l "wooden, jointed limbs; body covered in plaster; bisque head with 'Made in Germany - 390 - A - M' across back of neck. Donor insists that the doll is french. It was given to her by the Nancarrow family of Marua, North Auckand in the 1920's and is at least 10 years old. the clothes are not the original ones except possibly the underclothing. She was exhibited in Perth, W.Australia for a fund-raising drive during World War I - about 1917." "French doll - at least 75 years old" as at 1970 (letter from donor)
