Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The intersection of Dock and Front Streets in Ketchikan, Alaska as it appeared in the early 1920s. The Tongass Trading Company, established in 1898, still dominates this intersection, even though the character of downtown Ketchikan has changed greatly with the advent of cruise ship tourism.
Date (published, but likely taken earlier, as this doesn't look like February, even for a place as far south as Ketchikan)
Source The Pathfinder of Alaska, February 1922 issue, p. 1
Author Photographer unknown; photo accompanied story "Ketchikan, Alaska's Gateway" by Joseph Ulmer. Published by the Pathfinder Publishing Company of Valdez, Alaska for the Pioneers of Alaska.
