Description
English: This a derlict mill building next to a deep well. This type of well with the gear wheel system are called Noras, comes from the Arabic word Noura, which means the gear wheel for raising water. Like this example, they can be found next to rivers and streams and are in close proximity to fruit trees or agricultural field systems. This disused and dilapidated well and water supply and irrigation system is located near Escarpão, Albuferira, Algarve, Portugal.
