Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Disused station at Byers Green. The Clarence Railway opened in 1837 connecting Willington and Teesside via Byers Green. The Clarence eventually became part of the North Eastern Railway, which opened a branch in 1885 from Byers Green to Bishop Auckland; a new station opened at Byers Green on the branch. The trackbed has now been converted into the Auckland Way, a path for walkers and cyclists.
