| Description |
English: Map showing location of the approximately 3,000 acres (1,200 ha) parcel intended for Disney's America, a theme park planned for western Prince William County, Virginia, near the town of Haymarket. After a year of contentious negotiation, Disney withdrew the project, despite having state and local government support and having already purchased (or holding options to purchase) the land.
Disney parcel is marked in orange. The town of Haymarket is marked in yellow. The nearby Manassas National Battlefield Park is marked in green. Vector overlay on Open Street Map raster. Location and shape of Disney parcel was approximated from 1994 Washington Post map by Dave Cook, linked. |
