Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Dismantled railway to Quainton Road 4. Looking south-east over the top of pile of rubble adjacent to some farm buildings, this partly overgrown ditch marks the line of the former Aylesbury & Buckingham Railway built in the 1860s, see 963232.

About 200m ahead, the railway went under a road bridge, and joined what was then the Great Central Railway , see 930184, and then went on to Quainton Road station. This line, which is behind the thick hedge on the right, is now a single track line and in infrequent use.

The next image in this sequence is 1030786.
