Dinas - an igneous outcrop
Summary

English: Dinas - an igneous outcrop In its masculine form, dinas means a "hill fort", (in its female form it means "a city"). Although there is no evidence of a hill fort at this site, it is the type of feature on which such a defence structure would have been sited. The rock here is basic lava. The burial chamber of Din Dryfol is situated on the lower platform of the outcrop. |
