English: The Dillon family monument in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport, Iowa. The monument was erected by Judge John Forrest Dillon in memory of his wife, Anna Price Dillon, and daughter, Annie Dillon Oliver, who were lost when the French ocean liner SS La Bourgogne sank after colliding with the British sailing ship Cromartyshire in dense fog off Sable Island in the North Atlantic in 1898. |
