| Description |
English: The State Farm Insurance agency office of Dick Randolph on the southern edge of downtown Fairbanks, Alaska. The agency has been in business since January 1965. They moved to this building at some point in the 1990s from across Cushman Street, a site now home to the main station of the Fairbanks Fire Department,. A story on the agency's 50th anniversary stated that Randolph, who was 78 at the time, had no plans to retire despite the retirements of multiple generations of his fellow agents in Fairbanks. That included younger brother Jack selling his agency to his nephew and Dick's son Edward F. Randolph, who had been the State Farm agent in Kodiak but desired to return to Fairbanks after marrying the mother of football player Daryn Colledge, who herself is the State Farm agent in North Pole. |
