Description

Laboratório de Restauração do Museu do Senado.

O Senado volta a expor na segunda-feira (30) a primeira de 14 obras de arte dentre as danificadas durante a invasão de criminosos que depredaram as dependências do Congresso Nacional no dia 8 de janeiro. O quadro “Trigal na Serra”, de Guido Mondin, retorna à Sala de Recepção da Presidência da Casa. Guido Fernando Mondin foi pintor, economista, empresário, professor e político. Na vida pública, exerceu cargos de senador por dois mandatos (1959 a 1975), deputado estadual e federal, vice-prefeito de Caxias do Sul (RS) e ministro do Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU).

A peça em acrílico sobre eucatex mede 92 por 112 centímetros. Após os ataques, a tela, pintada em 1967, foi encontrada no chão, separada da moldura. Fragmentos de vidros quebrados durante a invasão e outros estilhaços provocaram arranhões e perda de policromia. A obra estava encharcada e empenada pela umidade, depois que os vândalos acionaram mangueiras e hidrantes de combate a incêndio.

O auxiliar parlamentar do Serviço de Conservação e Preservação do Museu (SECPM), Raimundo Nonato Nascimento Soares, é o responsável pela recuperação da obra.
