Description
English: Devon carrle are a smaller breed, the bulls often used in ploughing. They are dark red in colour with a white nose and "fine horns". From "Brett's Colonists' Guide," p33, a handbook of useful knowledge for European settlers in New Zealand, who were not used to southern hemisphere seasons and needed to learn a wide range of new farming skills.
