English: Storm clouds roll by after a deluge of rain soaks Camp America leaving large pools of water for troops to navigate while walking between buildings. Guantanamo Bay will soon enter the hurricane season beginning June 1 and lasting through November 30. Historically, Guantanamo is not directly hit by hurricane activity but does struggle with large amounts of rain causing washouts and flooding. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe and humane care and custody of detained enemy combatants. The JTF conducts interrogation operations to collect strategic intelligence in support of the Global War on Terror and supports law enforcement and war crimes investigations. JTF Guantanamo is committed to the safety and security of American service members and civilians working inside its detention facilities. |
