English: A National Memorial in Bradenton Florida was established to honor the 1539 landing of a Spanish Conquistador named Hernando de Soto. I am the only one in the world to ever find anything with his name on it in North America. This piece of Spanish silver is dated 1539 and was donated to the Museum of Florida History in 2008. This picture is truly a national treasure and represents the very reason for the De Soto National Memorial's existence.
