Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Sheep by Dere Street. Flock of Suffolk sheep on an area of improved high ground. Below in all directions the land deteriorates to boggy moorland and sitka plantation. Not normal Suffolk sheep country. The lambs were already weaned, a contrast to the local breeds which were all small at this time.
