DescriptionDerby Junction station site 099.JPG |
English: View looking northwest along the Waterbury Branch in East Derby, Connecticut at the site of the former New Haven and Derby Railroad Derby Junction station - that was also service by trains of the Housatonic Railroad. A second track used to lie just beyond the remaining track and the station house was where the cars are now parked. The brick building to the right used to be an Armour meatpacking plant and is now a laundromat and the Smoke and Bones barbeque restaurant. The bridge on the left carries the Waterbury Branch over the Naugatuck River and to the Derby-Shelton station. |
