Denticulate : Neolithic
Description
English: A complete flint denticulate of Neolithic date (4000-2350 BC).The lithic is sub-rhombic in profile and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface is convex and contains four predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises. All edges contain distinct abrupt retouch creating the denticulated edges. The ventral surface smooth with the exception of shallow ripples of percussion emanating from the mesial left hand edge.


The flint is a cream in colour with light grey inclusions throughout.
