Deutsch: Denkmal für die Meraner Juden, die 1943, drei Tage nach dem deutschen Einmarsch verhaftet worden sind. Sie wurden ins Balilla-Haus, Otto-Huber-Straße 36, gebracht und von da aus deportiert. Das Denkmal steht im Hof des Hauses.
Übersetzung der Inschrift: Im Keller dieses Hauses hat der Nazi-Eindringling, in seiner letzten vergeblichen Grausamkeit eines erschöpften Gegners, mit Hilfe einiger einheimischer fanatischen Elemente des SOD, 45 unschuldige Opfer – unter ihnen auch viele italienische Bürger, Frauen und kleine Kinder – verhaftet. Die unglücklichen Märtyrer, die niemals zurückkehren werden, haben das sterbliche, den Frieden und die Freiheit herbeisehnende Leben hinter sich gelassen, den freien Geist im ewigen Frieden von jeder Sklaverei loslösend. Meran 15. September 1943Italiano: Memoriale per gli ebrei meranesi arrestati nel 1943, tre giorni dopo l'entrata delle truppe tedesche in città. Il giorno successivo vennero deportati in Germania e solo uno di essi sopravvisse all'olocausto. Il memoriale è situato a Merano in via Otto Huber, 36 nel giardino della ex casa dei balilla.
