Description
Deutsch: Niklaus von Flüe oder Bruder Klaus (* 1417; † 21. März 1487 im Flüeli bei Sachseln im Kanton Obwalden) war ein Schweizer Einsiedler, Asket und Mystiker. Er gilt als Schutzpatron der Schweiz. Denkmalgestaltung durch Bildhauer Hubertus Mayr. Das Denkmal befindet sich in Wien 2.,Vorgartenstraße,Ecke Offenbachgasse (U-Bahnstation „Krieau“ Linie U2).
English: Niklaus von Flüe or Bruder Klaus (born 1417 – †21 March 1487 in the Flüeli in Sachseln in the canton of Obwalden) was a Swiss hermit, ascetic and mystic. He is regarded as the patron saint of Switzerland. Monument design by sculptor Hubertus Mayr. The monument is located in Vienna 2.,Vorgartenstraße/Offenbachgasse (Metro line U2,Station: "Krieau").
