Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Creative layout featuring cryoelectron microscopy renderings of mature dengue virions (DENV-1) and a photo of an Aedes mosquito. Groups of dengue virus particles (pink) captured through transmission electron microscopy (courtesy CDC) appear in the outer background (note: artistic placement; not to scale). Dengue viruses—which cause dengue fever—are transmitted to humans through the bites of infected Aedes mosquitoes.
