De oudere man op de foto is Adrianus Geerts uit Bakel. Op zijn brommer vertrok hij naar de vliegbasis toe. Op de vraag van de journalist waarom hij op zijn leeftijd nog gaat demonstreren zei hij; Dit is voor mijn kinderen en kleinkinderen. Deze held was mijn opa. Overleden te Helmond op 12 april 1984
