Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The demolition of the entire southern side of Eastgate, Leeds. In an act of gross civic vandalism the entire southern side of the street is to be demolished depriving Eastgate of one of its iconic book ends. This is to be replaced by a nasty edifice to consumerism, a new John Lewis, which judging by architects plans looks like it was bought from B&Q. The northern side I believe is going to be demolished in a couple of years. Taken on the afternoon of Friday the 30th of May 2014.
