English: Moton Field, which in the 1940s was the only primary flight training facility for the first African American pilot candidates in the Army Air Corps who became the Tuskegee Airmen, was designated as The Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site, Oct. 11, 2008, As part of the opening ceremonies in Tuskegee, Ala., the ashes of two deceased members of the Tuskegee Airmen were sprinkled on the airfield.
