The Prowler and Stratotanker are flying in support of Operation Southern Watch, which is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq. The Prowler has taken over the electronic countermeasures mission from the retiring EF-111A Raven of the U.S. Air Force. The Prowler belongs to Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 142. The Stratotanker is attached to the 4408th Air Refueling Squadron (Provisional). Both aircraft are flying out of Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia. |
