English: A Royal Australian Air Force F-111 approaches the refueling boom of a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker during an in-flight refueling evolution in the skies over the Nevada Test and Training Range on Feb. 14, 2006. The two aircraft and their crews are participating in training exercise Red Flag 06-1. Conducted by the 414th Combat Training Squadron, Red Flag tests the aircrewsà war-fighting skills in realistic combat situations and involve units of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, as well as units of the United Kingdom and Australia. |
