Deeping St James Bridge

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Deeping St James Bridge This 13 feet wide pack-horse bridge was built in 1651, when travel was slow. Even so, there were 'passing-places' built into the bridge structure which enabled some degree of two-way traffic over the centuries; not-so nowadays, due to the narrowness of the bridge, there is a general rule to give-way if someone is already crossing from the other side.
