The Dead Sea is a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and the West Bank to the west. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River.

Description
English: The Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth at 420 meters below Sea level. The Dead Sea has a high salt concentration of 30%, which accounts for a particularly strong buoyancy. The muds rich in minerals and the salts are used for skin treatments. Potassium chloride is extracted and processed from the waters of the Dead Sea.
