The Original Conoco Gas Station was established at 1030 Poyntz Avenue in 1925 and was demolished in 1966. The old station occupied lot 448 on the corner of 11th and Poyntz which was a standard 50’ x 150’ Ward lot. A Conoco Prototype was submitted to the City in 1963, but a permit was not issued till 1966. The prototype submitted was a mirrored version of what exists today and occupied lot 448 and 447 to the east combining them into one 100’ x 150’ lot.
