Description
English: Forest Remains. On this day, while driving through the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, Davy Crockett National Forest, off in the distance I see this glorious Dogwood, with the perfect about of sunlight shining through the timber canopy like a breath of life in an utterly devastated pine forest after the 2019 tornado, a sign of rebirth, new beginnings and serenity. This photo was submitted for the May 2023, employee photo contest: flowers and pollinators. (USDA Forest Service photo by Mandy Chumley)
