Scrapbook of clippings and other ephemera pertaining mainly to the Hart, Daughtridge, and other related families of Edgecombe, Nash, and New Hanover Counties, NC, and in particular covering the political career of Elijah Longstreet Daughtridge (1863-1921). Included are clippings from Rocky Mount, NC newspapers of which original, complete copies no longer exist. The compiler, Pattie J. Daughtridge (1865-1930), was a sister of Elijah L. Daughtridge. She was married to Spencer Lee Hart III (1869-1899) in 1885 and to W.C. Galloway (1850-after 1910) in 1903. |
