English: Dashainghar in the main square of Patan Durbar, a historical town in Lalitpur district. The base of this Dashain house is made of gold water. Golden gate is very artistic and attractive. It is also called the Golden Gate. The Golden Gate has a statue of Ganga on the right and a statue of Jamuna on the left. This pagoda style Dashain house is a very artistic and excellent specimen. The great festival of Nepalis, Bijaya Dashami, which is close to the day of Fulpati (Festival), brings special worship to Taleju Bhavani Devi in this Dashain house. It is also customary to offer sacrifices on that day. That is why this artistic house is called Dashain Ghar. This Dashain house was also built during the reign of King Siddhinar Singh Malla. Indigenous and foreign tourists flock to see the fine art of this house. |
