Summary
[edit]DescriptionDardanus Stone, Corsedarar Hill - geograph.org.uk - 35784.jpg |
English: Dardanus Stone, Corsedarar Hill. On the north side of the B976, near the summit of the road. An information board on the S side of the road gives some detail of its origins: "..discovered and erected on its current site in the 18th century.." Its name refers to a 15th century king, but it is now believed to predate that time. The stone was repaired with the iron straps under instruction of the Laird of Finean in the first half of the 19th century. |
