Description

This letter was written by Daniel Roberts to his mother and sisters while he was stationed in Helena, Arkansas, with Company K of the 8th Indiana Infantry Regiment. It discusses Roberts' inability to send letters to his family, daily life in his regiment, his concerns about the food and pay, concerns about Union movements around Vicksburg, Mississippi, and his desire to hear from his family.
