Summary
[edit]DescriptionDalton Street Post Office, Queensgate, Cincinnati, OH (27226828677).jpg | This stately building is the Dalton Street Post Office, the main postal facility in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, and was built in 1932. Designed in the Art Deco style by Samuel Hannaford and Sons, this building once stood in a dense residential area, which was cleared for urban renewal in the 1960s, making way for a freeway and industrial park. Around the same time, a large annex wing was added in the modernist style, and it expanded the facility's capacity greatly. The building has many rich exterior details, including stone carvings, metal screens, and decorative entry doors, and is a majestic sight to behold. |
