| Description |
English: Official postcard c. WW1 time. Published by Young and Co, Teddington, printed appropriately in Germany. Posted on 1 April 1915 to an address in Mount Pleasant Lane, Upper Clapton from a patient here who was occupying the third bed up on the right marked with a feint cross. "....I am able to get up now 2 hours a day and have been here 5 weeks yesterday. Everybody tells me to cheer up so I suppose I must...." Oh dear.
The hospital closed in c 1987. See here by @chrisdb1 for a shot of the same ward shortly after the end. |
