Description
English: The Triumph of Republic (1899) by Jules Dalou, Place de la Nation (Paris).
The sea monsters / fountains are by Georges Gardet. They have been added in 1908, then removed in 1941 by Germans to recover the metal for weapons production. The pool was removed in the 1960's because of the RER construction.
Français : Le Triomphe de la République (1899) de Jules Dalou, Place de la Nation (Paris).
Les monstres marins / fontaines sont de Georges Gardet. Ils ont été installés en 1908 et supprimés en 1941 par l'occupant allemand pour refonte destinée à l'armement. Le Bassin a été supprimé lors des travaux de construction du RER pendant les années soixante.
