Bản đồ gốc là bản đồ mô tả Thế giới qua góc nhìn của người nhà Thanh Trung Quốc vào cuối thế kỷ 18 đến đầu thế kỷ 19: Việt Nam (An Nam quốc (安南國, Đàng Ngoài) và Quảng Nam (廣南本安南地, Đàng Trong)), Thái Lan (暹羅國, Xiêm La quốc), Lào (車里 (Xa Lý), 老撾 (Lão Qua)), Chân Lạp (小真嶼, 大真嶼, tiểu và đại Chân Dự) và các đảo nhỏ thuộc Biển Đông: Ngoại La Sơn (外羅山, đảo Lý Sơn), Vạn Lý Trường Sa (萬里長沙, quần đảo Hoàng Sa), Vạn Lý Thạch Đường (萬里石塘, quần đảo Trường Sa), tiểu và đại Côn Lôn (崑崙, Côn Đảo). 中文：南边则出现域外地名“暹羅”、“車里”、“老撾”、“安南”，同时在今南海范围内绘制有小岛，其上标注“小崑崙”、“大崑崙”、“萬里長沙”、“萬里石塘”、“外羅山”等字样。 |
