Summary
[edit]DescriptionDacryodes edulis - Nsafu - fruit preparation.jpg |
English: Nsafu - safoutier - butterfruit. The skin and pulp of the fresh fruit is softened by either resting in hot boiled water for a few minutes or toasting for a few minutes over heat. Here regular turning ensures an even softening of the pulp. Eaten warm. A typical serving is one or two fruits as this fruit has a reputation for causing drowsiness. Bluish skin color turns paler violet during softening in hot water. |
