Historisches Kaufhaus in Freiburg im Breisgau. Errichtet wurde das Gebäude im 14. Jahrhundert, der Bauabschluss wird auf 1532 datiert. Es sollte der städtischen Marktverwaltung als Sitz dienen und ein erstes kommunales Kaufhaus sein. In diesem Gebäude kam es dann zum Warenumschlag und zur Zollabwicklung. Seit seiner Ersterrichtung wurde das Gebäude mehrmals umgebaut und auch erweitert und diente von 1947 bis 1951 als Parlamentsgebäude des Staates Südbaden. Die verschiedenen Skulpturen und Wappen, die zu sehen sind, stellen verschiedene Kaiser und Könige der Geschichte dar, wie unter anderem Kaiser Maximilian I. oder König Philipp der Schöne.
