DUR-A2A2F1 late medieval buckle
Description
English: A copper alloy buckle dating to the period AD 1485 to 1550.

The object is D-shaped in plan and has a recessed pin bar. There is one groove on the curve of the frame which may have acted as a pin rest.

This is a Marshall (1986: 13 to14) Tudor type 1F which is fairly common throughout the late medieval and Tudor periods.
