Diese Briefmarke wurde von der Deutschen Reichspost herausgegeben. Nach 1945 / 1949 wurden die Deutsche Post der DDR und die Deutsche Bundespost gemeinsame Rechtsnachfolgerinnen. Seit 3. Oktober 1990 ist nur noch die Deutsche Bundespost bzw. die Deutsche Post World Net AG Rechtsnachfolgerin. Die Briefmarken sind daher ebenfalls nach § 5 Abs. 1 UrhG ein amtliches Werk. Nach dem deutschen Urhebergesetz ist dies somit gemeinfrei.
