Deutsch: Die Gemeinde gehörte bis 1806 zur Talvogtei Schönau des Klosters St. Blasien. Nach dem Anfall an Baden wurde Wieden infolge der Auflösung der Talvogtei 1809 selbstständige Gemeinde, 1840 aber wieder in acht Stabhaltereien aufgeteilt, die erst 1934 erneut zusammengelegt wurden. Die Gemeinde führte seit ihrer Verselbstständigung eigene Siegel, zunächst ein reines Schriftsiegel, später mit der Halbfigur eines Mannes mit einer brennenden Fackel in der Linken (Bergmann?) oder mit der Initiale W unter einer Krone. Noch in die sanktblasianische Zeit dürfte ein Stempel des Tals Wieden zu datieren sein, der einen ovalen, von einem Hirsch gehaltenen Schild mit einem Weidenzweig zeigt. Dieses Siegel stand Pate für das 1902 vom Generallandesarchiv geschaffene Wappen. Der Weidenzweig ist ein „redendes" Bild für den Ortsnamen, der Hirsch das Wappentier des Klosters St. Blasien. |
