Object history
Deutsch: Die Kraichgaugemeinde im Tal des Walzbachs ist 1971 durch den Zusammenschluss von Jöhlingen und Wössingen entstanden. Im Wappen sind Bilder aus den Wappen der Ortsteile vereinigt. Der Eichenzweig stammt aus dem 1901 angenommenen Jöhlinger Wappen und ist eine heraldische Umsetzung des seit dem 18. Jahrhundert überlieferten Fleckenzeichens. Die rot-goldene Tingierung greift die Farben des badischen Wappens auf, das wegen der alten Herrschaftsrechte der Markgrafen die vordere Hälfte des Wössinger Gemeindewappens von 1911 bildet. Mit dem Kreuz wird auf die einstige Speyerer Herrschaft über Jöhlingen und einen Teil Wössingens hingewiesen. Das Wappen wurde am 12. Juli 1972 vom Innenministerium, die Flagge am 18. Juli 1984 vom Landratsamt Karlsruhe verliehen.
