Object history
Deutsch: Der Gemeinde Wachtberg ist mit Urkunde vom 13. April 1971 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. Der Lindwurm symbolisiert das historische Drachenfelser Ländchen, aus dem das Amt Villip als Gebietskörperschaft deckungsgleich hervorgegangen war. Die Farben Blau und Silber stehen für die Familie von der Leyen, die über Jahrhunderte von Burg Adendorf aus die Geschicke der umliegenden Dörfer lenkte.
