Deutsch: Trappstadt besteht seit 1978 aus den ehemals selbstständigen Gemeinden Alsleben und Trappstadt, dessen Wappen in diesem Zusammenhang untergegangen ist. Trappstadt war ein Ganerbendorf mit bis zu zwölf Ganerben. Wohl aus der Zeit um 1656, als das Ganerbendirektorium Römhild errichtet wurde, stammt das älteste Siegel, das die für den nicht mehr verstandenen Ortsnamen redende Trappe zeigt. Der Ortsname leitet sich von Traufe ab und bedeutet 'Stätte des Traufens'. Der Markt ist auf drei Seiten von steilen Höhen umgeben, die wie eine Dachschräge das Wasser ins Tal fließen lassen. Das Bild mit der Trappe steht auch in einem Signet des späten 18. Jahrhunderts mit einer Adelskrone auf dem Schild als Hinweis auf die Ganerben. In den späteren Dienstsiegeln steht der Vogel auf einem Dreiberg, der die drei Anhöhen Höhberg, Spanshügel und Altenburg darstellen sollte. Von 1818 bis 1836 durfte der Ort das Wappensiegel nicht führen. Seit 1778 ist Trappstadt Markt. Der Wellenbalken weist auf den Ort Alsleben und stellt die Fränkische Saale dar, die im Gemeindegebiet entspringt. |
