Object history
Deutsch: Der rote römische Henkelkrug im unteren Feld verweist auf den römischen Ursprung des Ortes mit der Taberna (Raststation) an der Römerstraße. Im obereren roten Wappenteil finden sich ein goldener Schlüssel (Symbol der Kirchenpatrons, des Hl. Petrus) und eine goldene Krone (Symbol der Hl. Margareta, Margaretenkapelle am Friedhof). Rot und Weiß sind die alten Trierer Farben. Der Wellenschnitt in der Mitte symbolisiert die jahrhundertelange Teilung des Ortes durch den Maus- und Albach in einem kurtrierischen und luxemburgischen Ortsteil.
