Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde am 12. Mai 1939 vom bayerischen Reichsstatthalter genehmigt. Der welfische Greifenlöwe entstammt dem Klosterwappen von Steingaden und weist auf das Dynastengeschlecht nachweisbar seit 1147 hin. Der auf Quadersteinen stehende Turm (Gaden aus Stein) ergibt ein für den Gemeindenamen redendes Bild; die Existenz dieses Turms ist nicht nachgewiesen, möglicherweise handelt es sich um einen römischen Wachturm, welcher dem Ort den Namen gegeben hat.
