Object history
Deutsch: Der Ort gehörte seit dem Mittelalter bis Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts zur Kurpfalz. Das 1697 datierte große Gerichtssiegel zeigt das obenbeschriebene Wappenbild in einem Siegeloval. Einen Original-Siegelabdruck besitzt die Ortsbürgermeisterei Nieder-Hilbersheim. St. Martinus ist der örtliche Kirchenpatron. Der goldene und schwarze Streifen im Schildfuß entsprechen den pfälzischen Wappenfarben und sind ein Hinweis auf die Ortsherren bis zum 18. Jahrhundert.
