Object history Die Kapelle stellt die Kapellenruine St. Jobst dar, das Wahrzeichen von Lehrberg. Der Chorturm von 1430 ist noch erhalten. Der Hügel, auf dem die Kapelle stand, heißt heute noch Kapellenberg. Der Ring stammt aus dem Wappen der Herren von Birkenfels, den ehemaligen Herren von Lehrberg und Bauherren der Kapelle. Sie waren Lehensleute des Stifts Heilsbronn und besaßen einen Teil der Dorfherrschaft. Sie führten einen silbernen Ring im roten Schild. Im Jahr 1532 ist die Familie ausgestorben, ihr Besitz kam 1540 an die Ansbacher Markgrafen. Lehrberg wurde 1931 zum Markt erhoben, in diesem Zusammenhang erhielt die Marktgemeinde auch das Wappen.
